The method
Rules
A strategy's rules are fixed: they decide when to buy, when to sell and how much to risk. The system carries them out exactly as written, with no decisions made in the moment, and no trade can step outside them.
Testing
We use more than ten years of market history. Part of it is used to design the strategy; the rest is set aside and the strategy never sees it while it is being built. Only once it is finished is it measured on those years, which shows that it works in a market it did not know, not only in the past that shaped it. The ones that pass are tested again under altered conditions, with the real costs of trading and on the platform where they will trade.
Portfolio
We trade with several strategies at once, across different markets, buying and selling. They are chosen so they do not win or lose at the same time, so the result does not depend on any single one. A new strategy joins only if it improves the whole, and if one stops performing, another that passed the same tests takes its place.
Risk
Risk is set before entering: every trade risks a small, fixed share of the account and carries its maximum loss from the moment it opens. Above that, the account has a loss limit defined in advance. If your account reaches it, we close all of its positions.
